Jake Paul has invested in the future ahead of his latest fight.

‘The Problem Child’, who is set to box UFC legend Nate Diaz in Dallas on Saturday, has spent the last few months training with legendary boxer Shane Mosley in Puerto Rico.

However, he has also been making moves for Most Valuable Promotions [MVP] who have just signed a decorated amateur fighter with 5.7 million Instagram followers.

Javon Walton is best known for his role as Ashtray on HBO’s Emmy-winning series Euphoria which stars Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Angus Cloud who sadly passed on July 31.

The 17-year-old stumbled into acting after he appeared on a talk show to promote his boxing career, which includes more than 80 bouts, multiple junior amateur tournament wins and five Georgia state championships.

“The goal originally was just boxing,” Walton told MMA Fighting.

“I’ve been boxing for 13 years of my life. That’s what I love. That’s what I do.

“This acting stuff came from boxing actually.

"I was on The Steve Harvey Show for boxing, and the casting director called after the show and was wondering if I was interested in trying acting.”

After leaving Euphoria at the end of season two, Walton has decided to put acting to one side and focus on reaching 100 amateur bouts before launching a professional boxing career in 2024.

“I did that project [Euphoria], but my priority now is boxing,” he added.

“That’s where my heart is. I have 85 amateur bouts. That’s what I think I do best.

“For now, I’m definitely taking a step back [from acting] and just focusing on boxing. I’ve got to do what I love at the end of the day.

“It’s hard to do both. Eventually, I will, but I’m about to go pro in a year, and I really want to make a big impact on the boxing world in the beginning.”

The 125lb fighter solidified his decision by signing with MVP.

Paul immediately got his new client massive exposure by allowing him to make an appearance at the open workouts ahead of his fight with Diaz.

Walton got to hit pads in front of a crowd of people, which included assembled media members, who gave fans the first glimpse of the former actor in his natural habitat.

The teenager will certainly be one to watch in 2024 and beyond.
